Woo hoo!

I am very pleased to announce that IBM, Microsoft, BEA and Tibco have just republished the WS-Reliable Messaging specification (WS-RM) under Royalty Free terms. There are now two separate specs, one for the core protocol elements and one for the related policy assertion (WS-RM Policy Assertion).

I've published an article on IBM's developerWorks site that explains the changes made since the spec was last published in March 2004.

Also, Doug Davis has published an article on WS-RM and WS-Reliability which I highly recommend reading.
